Creatures are plaguing Atlanta, killing the magical beings and stealing their magic. When a wizard is killed in front of Logan Callaghan, a centuries-old Fey warrior, a war begins. A Witch from another plane will be the key to figuring out where these creatures come from and how to stop them. Add, in a few Fallen Angels and you have a battle unlike any before on this earth.
So here I was working hard on Fable City last week when I’m hit with the rotavirus (or one of it’s nasty brethren). I’ll save you the details but I was down for the count for a couple of days and by the time I was feeling better I had to put everything on pause for my daughter’s forthcoming birthday party this weekend. I’ll try to remember to take some pics of the highlights. Its going to be an Adventure Time/Sweet 16 party. The piñata is looking pretty good so far. Given that its still covered with newspaper.
Anyway, once the weekend is over I will be back onto Fable City with full force and, hopefully, will be finished with the first draft by the end of this month. As I said before, I’m going to start posting quotes from previous books since they didn’t get their time in the limelight. Today’s quote will be coming from Brimstone. This quote is more witty than funny but its definitely one of my favorites out of the book. It’s Vieve thinking to herself about fighting a bunch of Demon.
“I mean, come on, gun trumps blade any day of the week. Unless gun holder is headless that is.”
